This painting was done from a photo of children playing and exploring under the town dock in Jerusalem, RI near Jim's Dock Marina.  It was a cool day, and the children undeterred by the brisk air, waded through the water wearing full clothing rather than bathing suits.  The  angle of the late day sunlight shimmering on the dark water left striking reflections on the water's surface.
